Marketing Assistant
Starting Salary: £23,133 per annum
Job Type: Permanent
Working pattern: 35 hours per week. Monday-Thursday in our Head Office in Lancaster, work from home on Fridays (flexible working options will be considered)
We are looking for a creative and driven Marketing Assistant to join our team and support the delivery of the IDL marketing and growth strategy. Working closely with the Marketing and IDL Sales Teams, you will play a key role in delivering integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring all activity aligns with Ascentis standards and regulatory requirements. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their marketing career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will build a strong understanding of IDL products and services to support targeted marketing initiatives. You will monitor competitor activity, identify sector award opportunities, and contribute to enhancing brand visibility and credibility through award submissions. You will also take ownership of key initiatives such as the IDL Learner Awards, ensuring their successful coordination, promotion, and impact.
You will be responsible for managing and growing IDL’s digital presence, including social media channels, website content, and email marketing campaigns. This will involve planning and delivering engaging content, scheduling campaigns, and optimising performance to drive awareness, engagement, and lead generation. You will develop creative assets and compelling copy across multiple channels, including blogs, landing pages, podcasts, and PPC campaigns.
A key part of the role is maintaining high-quality, consistent brand messaging. You will ensure all marketing materials, both digital and print, adhere to brand guidelines and are regularly reviewed and updated. You will collaborate with internal teams to produce and promote valuable resources, support product launches, and ensure all collateral, including event materials and promotional assets, remains fresh and relevant.
You will also play an important role in analysing and reporting on marketing performance. Using tools such as Google Analytics, you will track campaign effectiveness, generate insights, and provide recommendations to improve performance and support commercial objectives. Additionally, you will help drive customer engagement by supporting review generation and managing communications with existing customers.
This role may also involve attending events and conferences to support marketing activities, occasionally requiring flexibility with working hours and travel. We are looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about marketing, with a keen interest in emerging technologies and trends that can enhance audience engagement and business growth.
